1) Best Practices when Recording

  • Use the browser version of tools whenever possible. Caddi can best understand your workflow in browser-based environments. For apps like Outlook, Slack, or PDFs, use the web version instead of the desktop app.

  • Record the full process from start to finish, including all clicks, form fills, and interactions.

  • Narrate as you go. Imagine you’re training a new colleague—explain what you’re doing and why. This helps our AI understand intent and context.

  • Show Caddi where to find the document, client, or information it needs. So Caddi can locate it too.

  • Close unnecessary applications and tabs before you begin to avoid confusion or capturing irrelevant content.

  • No need to show login processes. Caddi handles authentication independently, and recording logins only adds unnecessary steps.

  • Small mistakes are okay! If you slip up, just narrate the error and resume from the last correct step.

  • Move slowly and deliberately through each action to ensure the recording is clean and clear.

  • Keep it short—under 20 minutes is ideal for best performance.

  • For PDFs: If a PDF is stored in tools like Box, OneDrive, or Google Drive, you can open it directly there. If you need to download and edit it, right-click → “Open with Google Chrome” instead of using desktop apps (like Adobe or Preview).
