Why this matters:

Caddi makes it simple to automate repetitive processes by recording how you already do them. In most cases, one recording is enough for us to build an automation that runs across every client, document, or workflow.

Sometimes, though, there are small manual adjustments in your current process that block full automation. The good news: once these are fixed, Caddi can take over end-to-end.

This page collects the most common examples so your team knows what to look out for.

✅ Common Examples

  • Visually editing Word documents

    • 👉 Example: You have to manually update the font, bold, or delete a certain text.

    • 🛠️ Fix: If you update the template with these visual adjustments, Caddi can run the automation consistently without manual corrections.

  • Non-fillable PDFs

    • 👉 Example: Forms that require you to add data, but the PDF doesn’t have form fields—forcing you to drag and adjust text boxes manually.

    • 🛠️ Fix: Making the PDF fillable allows Caddi to place data automatically instead of relying on manual visual adjustments.

  • Inconsistent names or labels across systems

    • 👉 Example: Sometimes the client name differs slightly between tools, but a case/household ID is consistent.

    • 🛠️ Fix: Show Caddi where that ID is, so it knows to use it. Caddi can also search and handle small differences in names, but this can be error-prone if multiple clients/households have the same or very similar names.

Caddi can still automate parts of the process, but it won’t be able to run the workflow end-to-end. That means more manual edits, more exceptions, and less time saved.
