January 2026: Test, run, and review your loops all in one place

This month we pulled loop testing, running, and run history into a single workspace, taught your loops a handful of new tricks inside the tools you already use, and made it easier to share inputs across your team.

This month we pulled loop testing, running, and run history into a single workspace, taught your loops a handful of new tricks inside the tools you already use, and made it easier to share inputs across your team.

🚀 One workspace for testing, running, and reviewing a loop

Working on a loop used to mean bouncing between pages — one screen to test, another to run it for real, somewhere else to see what happened last time. You'd lose your place every time you switched.

Now it all lives in one Automation tab on the loop itself. Test a loop, run it, watch its progress on the workflow diagram, and dig into past runs without ever leaving the page. Retry or cancel a run right from the history list — including runs that need review — and when you retry a test the workspace reopens it right where you left off. The flow is the same whether you're trying something out or running it for real, and you can kick off a batch run from the same place.

For example: you test a client-intake loop, spot one step that needs a tweak, fix it, and re-run — all on the same screen, with the previous run still in view for comparison.

🔌 New tool actions

  • More your loops can do in Gmail and Outlook — reply within an existing email thread, send a drafted email, and mark Outlook messages as read or unread, so email steps fit real back-and-forth conversations.

  • Read an Excel sheet stored in SharePoint — loops can pull data straight from spreadsheets living in SharePoint.

✨ New features

  • See your loop's steps as a diagram — the loop page now shows what a loop does as a visual workflow, with each tool's logo and a plain-language name for every step, plus a short "what this loop does" summary up top.

  • Browse a loop's recordings in a side panel — pick from a loop's source recordings in a thumbnail list with hover-to-play previews, and open any one full-screen.

  • Retry a single item in a batch — when one item in a batch run needs another go, retry just that item instead of re-running the whole batch.

  • Turn text into a PDF — a loop can now generate a formatted PDF from text it produced earlier in the run.

  • List the files in a folder — a loop can pull the list of files it has gathered during a run, so later steps can work through them one by one.

  • Share inputs with your team — loop owners can now mark inputs as shared across everyone who uses the loop, or keep them personal. If a loop has no inputs at all, it now just runs without stopping to ask.

🔧 Improved

  • A clearer loop page — the loop view was redesigned with a side panel that keeps a loop's status, connected tools, schedule, and quick actions in view, plus a cleaner run-history list and faster-feeling loads.

  • At-a-glance loop status in your list — every loop in your list now shows a color-coded status, and loops that need your attention sort to the top so the next thing to act on is always first.

  • You're told when a loop is shared with you — get a notification the moment a teammate shares a loop, instead of stumbling onto it later.

  • Better-looking documents — Word-to-PDF conversions come out cleaner, and files uploaded to Laserfiche now display correctly.

🐛 Fixed

We squashed a batch of bugs this month, including retrying a run on a loop that needs review, cancelling a run that wouldn't cancel, time-zone and name changes not saving on your settings page, and not being able to star a loop that was shared with you.

🏢 Enterprise

  • Activity logs — Enterprise workspaces can see who did what across loops and integrations, filterable by person and event. Reply if you'd like it enabled for your team.
