PracticePanther connects to Caddi through an OAuth app. PracticePanther grants API access on a case-by-case basis, so you request it from PracticePanther support first. Once access is granted, you create an app in PracticePanther and enter its Client ID and Client Secret in Caddi.
Before you start
You'll need:
A PracticePanther account
API access approved by PracticePanther (Step 2 covers how to request it)
Owner or Admin access to your Caddi organization
Step 1: Copy the Caddi redirect URL
Your PracticePanther app must use this redirect URL, so get it from Caddi first.
In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations.
Under Connectors you can configure, find PracticePanther - Custom OAuth App and click Configure.
Click Copy redirect URL. It is
https://app.trycaddi.com/oauth-callback.
Step 2: Request API access from PracticePanther
Sign in to PracticePanther at app.practicepanther.com.
Click the Support button at the top right of the page, then click Ask us Anything.
Start a new conversation asking for API access, and wait for PracticePanther to grant it.
Step 3: Create the PracticePanther app
In PracticePanther, open Settings, then API (app.practicepanther.com/Settings/API).
Create an app.
Set the app's redirect URL to the URL from Step 1. It must match exactly.
Copy the app's Client ID and Client Secret.
Do not send this secret by email, chat, or a support ticket. Paste it straight into Caddi in Step 4, or keep it in a password manager until you do.
Step 4: Add the credentials in Caddi
In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations.
Under Connectors you can configure, find PracticePanther - Custom OAuth App and click Configure.
Paste the Client ID from your PracticePanther app into Client ID.
Paste the Client Secret from your PracticePanther app into Client Secret.
Click Save Configuration.
Step 5: Confirm the connection
In Caddi, open Integrations in the left sidebar.
Find PracticePanther - Custom OAuth App and click Connect.
Sign in to PracticePanther and approve the request. You'll be returned to Caddi with the connection active.
If you're not going to be an everyday user of Caddi, you can disconnect after confirming the connection works.
