Zoho CRM Setup

Connecting your Zoho CRM account to Caddi

Zoho CRM is a Caddi-managed connector. There is no Zoho API Console application to create and nothing for an administrator to configure — you sign in to Zoho and approve Caddi.

The connection is bound to the CRM organization you choose at consent. The same person belonging to two CRM organizations needs two connections, and Caddi treats them as two distinct users.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A Zoho CRM account in the organization you want to connect

  • A Caddi account

Step 1: Connect your account

  1. In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations, and go to the My Connections tab.

  2. Find Zoho CRM and click Connect +.

  3. Sign in to Zoho and, if you belong to more than one, choose the CRM organization Caddi should work in.

  4. Review the permissions on Zoho's consent screen and click Accept.

  5. You'll be returned to Caddi with the connection active.

How the connection behaves

  • Caddi acts as you, in one organization. It can reach the records your CRM profile and role allow, and nothing outside the organization you authorized.

  • Zoho's user-read permission is always part of the grant. Caddi uses it to identify who connected, so a run is attributable to a real person.

  • Access tokens last an hour and are renewed in the background. Zoho refresh tokens stay valid until revoked, so the connection continues to renew without action from you.

  • Zoho asks for consent every time you connect, even if you have approved Caddi before.

Troubleshooting

Records are invisible to Caddi

The connecting user's profile, role or data-sharing rules exclude them. Fix it in Zoho CRM under the user's profile and role.

Creating or updating records fails

The permissions granted at sign-in were narrower than the loop needs. Disconnect, reconnect, and approve the full request.

Caddi is acting in the wrong CRM organization

The organization is fixed at consent. Disconnect, then reconnect and pick the right one at sign-in.

Sign-in succeeds but Zoho rejects the token afterwards

Zoho runs separate data centres (zoho.com, zoho.eu, zoho.in, zoho.com.au and others) and a token issued in one is not valid in another. If your Zoho account is in a different data centre, contact Caddi support.
