PandaDoc Setup

Connecting PandaDoc to Caddi with a custom OAuth app

PandaDoc connects to Caddi through an OAuth application that you create in the PandaDoc Dev Center. You copy the application's Client ID and Client Secret into Caddi.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A PandaDoc account with a verified email address

  • The Owner or Admin role in PandaDoc. Only these roles can open the Dev Center.

  • The Dev Center enabled: in PandaDoc, go to Settings, then API and Integrations, then API, and click Enable.

  • Production API access on your PandaDoc account. PandaDoc only allows creating an application with production API access enabled. If you don't have it, contact your PandaDoc Account Manager or PandaDoc Customer Support.

  • Owner or Admin access to your Caddi organization

Step 1: Copy the redirect URL from Caddi

  1. In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations.

  2. Under Connectors you can configure, find PandaDoc - Custom OAuth App and click Configure.

  3. Click Copy redirect URL. It is https://app.trycaddi.com/oauth-callback. Keep this form open; you'll come back to it in Step 3.

Step 2: Create the application in PandaDoc

  1. Sign in to PandaDoc and open Dev center, then Configuration. You can also go straight to the Developer Dashboard configuration page.

  2. Under Applications, click Create application.

  3. Application name: enter Caddi.

  4. Publisher: enter your organization's name.

  5. Redirect URL: paste the redirect URL you copied from Caddi.

  6. Agree to the PandaDoc API terms of use and click Create.

  7. PandaDoc generates a Client ID and Client Secret for the application. Copy both.

Do not send this secret by email, chat, or a support ticket. Paste it straight into Caddi in Step 3, or keep it in a password manager until you do.

Step 3: Add the credentials in Caddi

  1. Return to the PandaDoc - Custom OAuth App Configure form in Caddi (Settings, then Integrations, then Configure under Connectors you can configure).

  2. Paste the Client ID into Client ID.

  3. Paste the Client Secret into Client Secret.

  4. OAuth Scopes: leave blank to use Caddi's default scopes. Caddi requests read (view templates and document details) and write (create, send, delete, and download documents) when you connect.

  5. Click Save Configuration.

Step 4: Confirm the connection

  1. In Caddi, open Integrations in the left sidebar.

  2. Find PandaDoc - Custom OAuth App and click Connect.

  3. Sign in to PandaDoc and approve the request. You'll be returned to Caddi with the connection active.

If you're not going to be an everyday user of Caddi, you can disconnect after confirming the connection works.
