Constant Contact connects to Caddi through an application you register in the Constant Contact V3 API Developer Portal. You copy the app's API Key and App Secret into Caddi.
Before you start
You'll need:
A Constant Contact account. Create the app while signed in as the Constant Contact user who will connect to Caddi: new applications are limited to private access, and only the Constant Contact user that created the application can grant it access.
Owner or Admin access to your Caddi organization
Step 1: Create the app in Constant Contact
Go to My Applications in the V3 API Developer Portal and sign in with your Constant Contact account. The My Applications page opens.
Click New Application.
Enter a name, such as
Caddi. Constant Contact users see this name when they grant the app access. For the OAuth2 setting, choose Authorization Code Flow and Implicit Flow.
For the refresh token method, choose Rotating Refresh Tokens (Constant Contact's recommended option).
Click Create. The app appears under Applications.
Click edit next to the app's name. Copy the API Key shown in the Details view.
Click Generate Secret. If a disclaimer appears, click Generate Secret to confirm. Copy the secret from the App Secret dialog, then click Close. Constant Contact shows it only once; if you lose it, you have to generate a new one.
In Redirect URI, replace the default
https://localhostwithhttps://app.trycaddi.com/oauth-callback. This is the same URL shown on Caddi's Configure form under Copy redirect URL.Click Save.
Do not send this secret by email, chat, or a support ticket. Paste it straight into Caddi in Step 2, or keep it in a password manager until you do.
Step 2: Configure Constant Contact in Caddi
In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations.
Under Connectors you can configure, find Constant Contact - Custom OAuth App and click Configure.
Paste the API Key from Step 1 into API Key.
Paste the client secret from Step 1 into App Secret.
Click Save Configuration.
Step 3: Confirm the connection
In Caddi, open Integrations in the left sidebar.
Find Constant Contact - Custom OAuth App and click Connect.
Sign in to Constant Contact as the Constant Contact user who created the app, and approve the request. You'll be returned to Caddi with the connection active.
If you're not going to be an everyday user of Caddi, you can disconnect after confirming the connection works.
