monday.com connects to Caddi through an OAuth app that you create in your own monday.com account's Developer Center.
Before you start
You'll need:
A monday.com Admin or Member account. Guests and viewers can't create apps.
Owner or Admin access to your Caddi organization
Step 1: Copy the redirect URL from Caddi
In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations.
Under Connectors you can configure, find monday.com and click Configure.
Click Copy redirect URL. It is
https://app.trycaddi.com/oauth-callback. Keep this form open; you'll come back to it in Step 3.
Step 2: Create the app in monday.com
Sign in to monday.com, click your profile picture in the top-right corner, and select Developers. The Developer Center opens in a new tab.
Click Create app, enter an App Name such as
Caddiand an App Slug, and click Create app. The slug can't be changed after you create the app.In the left sidebar under Build, click OAuth & Permissions.
On the Scopes tab, select the scopes Caddi uses:
me:read, account:read, boards:read, boards:write, workspaces:read, workspaces:write, users:read, updates:read, updates:write, docs:read, docs:write, assets:read, teams:read, tags:read, andnotifications:write.me:readis required; Caddi uses it to identify you. monday.com requires the scopes Caddi requests to match the ones you select here.Switch to the Redirect URLs tab, add the redirect URL you copied in Step 1, and click Save.
Turn on the New OAuth Flow toggle. monday.com sets this per app version, so turn it on for the draft version you're editing.
Click Promote to live under your app's name in the left sidebar. You can also open the App versions tab, click the three dots in the Actions column for the draft version, and click Publish.
Open the Install tab and click Install App.
Open General settings, then App credentials, and copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
Do not send this secret by email, chat, or a support ticket. Paste it straight into Caddi in Step 3, or keep it in a password manager until you do.
Step 3: Add the credentials in Caddi
Go back to the monday.com Configure form you opened in Step 1. If you closed it, open Settings, then Integrations, and under Connectors you can configure, find monday.com and click Configure.
Paste the Client ID into Client ID.
Paste the Client Secret into Client Secret.
Click Save Configuration.
Step 4: Confirm the connection
In Caddi, open Integrations in the left sidebar.
Find monday.com and click Connect.
Sign in to monday.com and approve the request. You'll be returned to Caddi with the connection active.
If you're not going to be an everyday user of Caddi, you can disconnect after confirming the connection works.
