Attio Setup

Connecting your Attio workspace to Caddi

Attio is a Caddi-managed connector. There is no Attio app to register and nothing for an administrator to configure — you authorize Caddi once and the connection covers the whole workspace.

An Attio connection is workspace-wide, not personal. The token Attio issues acts on the workspace rather than on your individual record permissions, so whoever authorizes is granting Caddi access to the workspace's data.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • An Attio account with access to the workspace you want to connect

  • A Caddi account

Step 1: Connect your workspace

  1. In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations, and go to the My Connections tab.

  2. Find Attio and click Connect +.

  3. Sign in to Attio and choose the workspace Caddi should work in.

  4. Review the access Attio lists and approve it.

  5. You'll be returned to Caddi with the connection active.

What Caddi can do in Attio

The connection covers:

  • Records — people, companies, deals and custom objects, read and write

  • Lists and list entries — read and write

  • Notes, tasks and comments — read and write

  • Object and attribute schema — read only

  • Workspace members — read only, so that task assignees resolve to real people

How the connection behaves

  • Caddi checks its permissions at connect time. If Attio grants less than Caddi needs, the connection fails immediately with a missing-scope error.

  • Attio issues no refresh token. If the token is revoked or expires, reconnect.

  • One connection per workspace. The connection is labelled with the Attio workspace it was authorized in, so it is always clear which workspace a loop is acting in.

Troubleshooting

Connecting fails with a missing-scope message

Attio granted a narrower permission set than Caddi requires. This is a configuration problem on Caddi's side, not yours — contact Caddi support with the scope named in the error.

The connection stops working

Attio has no refresh flow. Disconnect and connect again.

Caddi is acting in the wrong Attio workspace

Disconnect and reconnect, choosing the right workspace at sign-in. The workspace is fixed at authorization.

Changing an object or attribute definition

The connection reads schema. Make the change in Attio.

Still stuck? Contact Caddi support with the exact error message you're seeing and the time it occurred.
