What you need
Caddi connects to Bill.com with four values from your Bill.com account. You can get all four yourself in the Bill.com web app.
Field in Caddi | What it is | Where to find it |
The email address you use to sign in to Bill.com | Your Bill.com login | |
Password | The password for that login | Your Bill.com login |
Organization ID | Your company's Bill.com ID, starting with | Bottom of the Manage Developer Keys page |
Developer Key | An API key for Bill.com AP & AR | Settings > Sync & Integrations > Manage Developer Keys |
Caddi uses these to sign in to the Bill.com API on your behalf.
Before you start
You need a production Bill.com account with Accounts Payable & Receivable. Sandbox keys do not work against production accounts, and vice versa.
Sign in as a user who can open Settings > Sync & Integrations. If you don't see Manage Developer Keys there, ask a Bill.com administrator in your company to do these steps.
We suggest a dedicated Bill.com user for Caddi, so a password change or departure doesn't break the connection.
Get your Developer Key and Organization ID
Sign in to the Bill.com web app at login.us.bill.com.
Go to Settings > Sync & Integrations > Manage Developer Keys.
Click Generate developer key and accept the terms of service.
Wait up to one minute, then reload the page. Your key now appears in the list.
Copy the key, and copy the Organization ID shown at the bottom of the same page (it starts with
008).
Store the key in a password manager and treat it as highly sensitive. Anyone with it plus your login can act on your Bill.com account.
Connect in Caddi
Open the Bill.com connection in Caddi and fill in the four fields: Email, Password, Organization ID and Developer Key. Caddi signs in to Bill.com right away; if it succeeds, the connection is live.
Don't send these values by email or chat. Enter them only in the Caddi connection form.
