Dext connects to Caddi with a personal authentication token you create in your Dext Practice settings.
Before you start
You'll need:
A Dext account. Dext API tokens are personal and apply only to the account that creates them, so sign in as the person whose Dext account Caddi should use.
Owner or Admin access to your Caddi organization
Step 1: Create the authentication token in Dext
Sign in to Dext and open Practice settings.
Select Data Health in the left navigation, then select API tokens.
Enter a name in the Token Name field and select Create.
In the Authentication token window, select Copy to Clipboard. This is the only time Dext shows the token, so copy it before you close the window.
Do not send this token by email, chat, or a support ticket. Paste it straight into Caddi in Step 2, or keep it in a password manager until you do.
Step 2: Add the token in Caddi
In Caddi, open Settings, then Integrations.
Under Connectors you can configure, find Dext - Custom Authentication Token and click Configure.
Paste the token into Authentication Token.
Click Save Configuration.
