Loop Studio this month is about control: publish when you're ready, stop a build that's going wrong, pick up one that stalled, and bring your own files into the chat.
🚀 Take control of every build
Building a loop in chat previously meant Caddi decided when your loop was ready to go live, and a build that headed somewhere you did not want — or stalled halfway — left you waiting it out and starting over.
From this month, you control each of those moments. When a build is finished, you publish it, with a button in the chat, on your timing. If a build is going wrong, select the stop button. And if a build dead-ends, you can resume it from where it stopped instead of starting again with a loop that never got built.
In practice: request a change you are unsure about, watch the first steps, stop the build if it is not what you meant, and continue from there without losing the loop. For an introduction to building this way, see Getting Started with Loop Studio.
✨ New features
Bring your own files into the chat — upload documents and images straight into the build chat and have Caddi read them as it builds, up to 20MB per message. Hand it the actual spreadsheet or form instead of describing one.
Write transformations in Lua — the transformation editor now offers Lua alongside Python, with syntax highlighting, validation as you type, and a badge on each transformation showing which language it's written in.
Record without starting from a loop — start a recording the moment you notice work worth capturing, and decide what it becomes afterwards. You no longer have to create the loop first.
Install the recorder in one step — a link in Loop Studio takes you straight to the Caddi Recorder in the Chrome Web Store. Full walkthrough: Installing Caddi Recorder Chrome Extension.
🔌 New integrations
Four more systems your loops can work in:
SurePoint — connect your firm's SurePoint instance so loops can work with your practice and financial data. Set up SurePoint
Conga — bring your document generation and contract work into your loops. Set up Conga
Freshservice — let loops work with your IT service desk tickets and requests. Set up Freshservice
Orion — bring portfolio and account data from Orion into your loops. Set up Orion
All four are Advanced integrations: they need Advanced integrations enabled on your plan, and setup includes registering your own OAuth application with the provider. Each setup guide covers the process, and the General Integration FAQ covers the rest. To confirm what your plan includes, contact your Caddi account team.
🔧 Improved
Loop inputs that stick — saving a loop's inputs now saves them, and each input reports its own result, so one bad value no longer makes the whole save fail quietly.
Cancel a recording part-way — stop a recording from the extension without having to finish it first.
Test results in plain language — when a test fails, Caddi now tells you what went wrong in your terms.
Fewer notifications you didn't ask for — successful runs no longer notify you, and emails no longer fire while you're mid-conversation in chat.
🐛 Fixed
Fixes this month include chat cards you had dismissed reappearing after a refresh, validation messages in the run modal that never became visible, and loop documentation failing to download.
